Too long ago. It might have been just one month ago, but that's still too long 😛
I typically have one friend + my brother with whom I can make deep and interesting conversations. These conversations are entirely idea-oriented, and they walk along the edges of curiosity and inspiration for the future. For instance, sitting down and talking how AI can change certain things, and most importantly trying to link that to our own lives.
Such conversations are the most important for me. And living abroad and far from my true friends & family they are even more important.
I gotta say, besides conversations that inspire me in some actionable way, sometimes it's good to just go into memory-lane with some old old friend. Two weeks ago I called someone I have not met in 7 years, and the convo was like a stroll down a minefield where each mine is a small heartbreak but also gives you warmth. Overall it was quite katarthic and helped me evaluate how far I've come in some ways, and how much further I need to go in other ways. It's also good to remember your past self. But such convos are a bit overwhelming.
I guess the overall theme in the convos that I like is that
1. They help me grow / improve in some way and
2. They go deep to the point where everyone is truly speaking their minds. No filters.
